Shipping Policy

 

The Sensory Studio uses Australia Post for shipping throughout Australia.

​

All items are sent with tracking and a flat rate shipping charge:

  • $10.95 shall apply for all orders under $99.99,

  • $16.95 for orders between $100.00 - $199.99,

  • $22.95 for orders between $200.00 - $499.99, 

  • $35.00 for orders over $500.00

​

Please ensure that you provide The Sensory Studio with the correct postal addressAny redelivery charges incurred due to an incorrect address being supplied, will be the responsibility of the consumer.

​

Shipping prices are subject to change.

 

Bulky/Large Items: 

Weighted and larger items may be subject to an additional courier fee (noted on the website), depending on weight, dimensions and delivery location. These items are unable to be sent via Express Post.

 

Please note: Couriers are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

Express Post is available, options and prices are available at checkout. 

​

All Items will be dispatched within 2 business days of orders being received, (where possible we will endeavour to dispatch within 1 business day)

 

Some of our bulky items found in-store are not listed on our website, however they are available for local delivery or can be sent via courier. These larger items will incur a delivery charge based on weight and address. Contact us for a quote.

If you are not home when your order arrives, the items will be taken to your local Australia Post outlet unless you give permission for Australia Post to leave in a safe place.

The Sensory Studio will do its best to ensure your order is delivered on time, however we can not be held accountable for any shipping/courier delays once the items have left our premises.

If you have not received your items within 14 days, please contact us via email or phone.

 

NDIS

The Sensory Studio will issue Tax Invoices for all purchases made either in-store or online.

​

Self-Managed Participants:

Self-Managed Participants can use the invoice provided to claim directly from the NDIS themselves, (if funds are available in the appropriate support category). If you are unsure as to what you can claim (or if you can claim), please contact the NDIS directly to discuss your individual plan. https://www.ndis.gov.au/participants

 

Plan Managed Participants:

If you are Plan Managed, and would like The Sensory Studio to invoice your plan manager directly, please select the NDIS Plan Managed option at our online checkout.

When you reach the shopping cart section of the check out process please add in the Participants NDIS details (see below) in the notes box / section before proceeding to the online checkout.

Participant’s Details:

  • Full Name

  • NDIS Number

  • Postal Address

  • Phone Number

 

Plan Manager details

  • Plan Manager Company Name

  • Email address for invoices

  • Phone Number

The Sensory Studio will then invoice the Plan Manager directly. Once funds are received from the Plan Manager, The Sensory Studio will then dispatch goods directly to the participant. Please be advised that all Plan Managers have different processing times.

​

Some Plan Managers may require additional information from Allied Health Practitioners to process your request. Please confirm with your Plan Manager if supporting documentation is required to accompany an invoice prior to ordering to speed up the approval process.

​

Any Plan Managed orders that remain unpaid after 21 days of invoice date, will be cancelled.

​

Please ensure you have sufficient funding in your NDIS Plan for Consumables/ Low Cost AT before purchasing through our store.

At present, we are unable to process NDIS Agency Managed Orders.

School Orders

We can invoice Independent, Catholic & Department of Education Schools directly. 

​

Place an order online, and select 'School Order' as the payment option at the online checkout. Please include your Purchase Order Number in the notes section.

Alternatively, give us call on 0491 717163  during business hours or email us via info@thesensorystudio.com.au with your order details and/or Purchase Order and we will forward an invoice through to your school. 

​

Please Note:

We are a small business and hence have a strict 7 day payment policy for all school / business account orders.

​

Refer to Payment Instructions on the invoice issued. Late payment fees will be charged on overdue accounts. Goods will not be released from The Sensory Studio without prior approval from Management; receipt of a valid purchase order or full payment.

Returns and Refund Policy

 

The Sensory Studio will happily provide a return/refund under the following conditions:

​

  • All products must be in as new condition (i.e not used, be undamaged and must be in the original packaging to enable the Sensory Studio to be able to resell items).

  • Email The Sensory Studio via email as soon as possible with the following information:

    • Your name, contact number, receipt number, product name, reason for return, and advise if you would like a replacement, exchange or refund. The Sensory Studio will then advise details via email for the items to be returned

  • All Products must be returned within 14 days via a trackable method - and sent in a secure and appropriately packaged means to avoid damage in transit.

  • Once items are received, The Sensory Studio will provide a refund (using the same method of payment) or an exchange for the purchase price of the item only.

  • Any postage incurred for an exchange or refund will be the responsibility of the consumer.

  • The Sensory Studio will not pay for return postage unless the item is deemed faulty.

  • We are unable to refund or exchange the following products that for hygiene reasons;

    • Chewable products, including chew necklaces or chewable fidgets/toys.

    • Linen – i.e Sensory Compression sheets, weighted blankets, body socks, singlets and socks

    • Ear Muffs, Ear Plugs and Toothbrushes

  • Chew Toys / Chew Necklaces

    • As Children have differing levels of chew strength, this can impact the life of the chew necklace/chew toy.

    • If your child is chewing through or biting off parts of a chew, they will need a harder/thicker product.

    • We can not provide a refund for chews that have been used / chewed through or broken. ​

​

  • Fidgets:

    • Please note that fidgets are intended to be used as tools that can aid in concentration. They ARE NOT TOYS, and are not indestructible.

    • We would love them to last indefinitely, however this is not always the case.

    • Therefore we are unable to provide a refund / return on these items due to wear and tear, misuse or breakage by the end user.​

  • Please note orders that have been paid by the NDIS via Plan Managers are unable to be refunded. We can only offer an exchange or credit note on these items.

The Sensory Studio is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, and then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

The Sensory Studio may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is current as at 30 June 2023.

  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

  • We may periodically send promotional email about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
